“We spread an abundant and delicate feast in the programmes and each small guest assimilates what he can” (A philosophy of Education Vol. 6, p. 183).
Hi! I am Renee – resident blogger, bibliophile, home educator, nature walk lover and ponderer here at Spreading a Living Feast.
I started this site to explore how spreading an abundant and delicate feast for our children and ourselves can shape the way we think, live and learn. We have access to so many books, but choosing the best books isn’t as easy as it looks.
Spreading the feast is a concept I learned while reading about Charlotte Mason’s Philosophy and we will explore this feast here but also other aspects of reading life, not just homeschooling.
Get to know me better:
I am a mother of 3 vibrant little girls and during the week, I have 4 extra little people entering our world from nine to five. Being around this many kids you could make assumptions that I am an extrovert, but on the contrary. I speak fluent INFJ and I might hide from the little people in my own house from time to time. We read more than we watch TV; as a matter of fact, our living room is lined with bookshelves but the television is not to be seen in that room (fear not, we just moved it to a smaller cozy room where we can all snuggle and watch).
Hi! I am Genieve 🙂 I am co-author of Spreading a Living Feast.
I am a homeschooling mother of 2. My daughter is a preschooler and my son is in elementary level. My husband is in full-time ministry and we are also homestay parents to international students going to University. Like Renee, I have an INFJ personality type and need to recharge my battery with some alone time.
I live in a city by the sea but grew up in a small francophone community. Things that I really enjoy doing are dancing, singing, baking and getting to know Jesus more.
